I did not grow up in a studio.

I would tell whoever told you that ...

"The dark ages called ... they want their cultural sense back."

Well i think art is part of culture, and culture is important. Dance is a form of art, both classic art and modern art. Just like music, the old classical dance should be preserved and learned from, while new dance is created.

I think all forms of dance are useless, in fact I think that all of the arts are useless including musical performances, architecture, paintings, photography, and any other form of self-expression especially poetry ( ... )

I think that dance is beautiful. It requires training and hard work. Just like any other field it demands time and sacrifice. I think anyone who is willing to give up their time to follow their dream or their passion is doing something right. That's why we're here at college right? At least I hope so.

Some may call the following of dreams a naive pursuit but I don't consider myself naive at all. Back to dance, as long as there is attendance at ballets and shows, musical/broadway productions, people signing up for dance lessons, it is a worthwhile pursuit.

Do what brings you joy and helps you to glorify God, and Rebecca, I have seen you glorify God through your dancing. If it brings glory to God, how can it be pointless?
