Mmm i think i am leaning towards a laptop. SOrted plenty of stuff for my walls lol. Print cartridges good idea.
Duct tape? Why duct tape?

a good variety of clothes, a padlock, earplugs.

probably a laptop as they take up less space.

Yeah, i think i will go for a laptop. Earplugs, i hadnt thought of that, but after your issues with your neighbour, good idea!

yeah definitely earplugs - they are essential, especially for us med students who need sleep:)

Also a laundry basket, a sieve, a potato peeler, a grater, vanish spray/soap (gets stains out of everything!), loads of underwear so you don't have to do washing as often, a4 folders, loads of lined paper, maybe toilet paper and bin bags (they may be provided), stamps and envelopes to send letters to everyone (everyone loves to receive hand written letters at uni - makes you look popular!), dressing gown cos you will spend a surprising amount of time in pjs and it'll be cold in winter, ID to get in places that are arsy.

hmmmmm that's all i can think of now but i'll let you know if anything else comes to me!
