Character Series: Konjiki no Gash Bell!!
Character Age: 8 (He'll be from post-series, so it's been about two years since he first met Kiyomaro.)
Background:
ONETWO Personality:
Gash is first and foremost optimistic and energetic. He also has a strong sense of curiosity as he explores nearly everywhere, especially the local park; however, he usually ends up going home in tears thanks to the neighborhood terror, Naomi. As a child, he is prone to a very active imagination and an almost fantasy-like admiration for heroes on television. The top two examples being his fascination with "Kamakiri Joe", the praying mantis of justice, and his friendship with his snack-box companion, Vulcan 300. He is also painfully oblivious to a variety of situations, even having mixed up the words "mafia" and "muffin" before. Naturally, most of what he does outside of battle is considered comic relief, given his childish habits.
The truth of the matter is that Gash is the exact opposite of the much feared demon of tales of old. He strives to protect those precious to him, and he is constantly willing to make new comrades. An instance of this would be his intentional disuse of his spells against Kolulu, a demon child with a terrible, twisted subconscious that comes into play whenever her powers are summoned. It is during this battle that Gash forms a promise that is his ultimate motivation throughout the duration of the series. He will become a kind king, one that won’t let the pain and sufferings continue for everyone, demons and humans alike.
Gash shows a side of himself nearly opposite of his usual childish demeanor when those important to him are being threatened. His eyes burn with an unwavering inner resolution, and his body automatically throws itself into danger. He is a natural leader, and he is strict on getting the matter at hand completed, no matter the cost to his own well-being, so that everyone and everything will be kept safe. That is his tactic for quite a while, and something that he urges Kiyomaro to do, as well. "Run now, think later!"
On a lighter note, Gash has quite a liking for food, yellow-tail especially. He has been known to actually stalk Kiyomaro to school and eat the entire classes' portion, constantly stuff himself at food bars with the mentioned snack, and even strip naked and throw himself into lakes, rivers- whatever, to simply grab a bite of the fish. Kiyomaro, often throws a fit over the boy's bizarre antics. It isn't uncommon for the two of them to bark at one another, and the smaller of the two to leave with a swelling lump on his head.
Even so, Gash treasures Kiyomaro and all of his friends with every fiber of his being. In fact, once the boy has regained the memories of his past, he is still as cheerful as ever, a sure sign that such a nature had been imprinted within him from the very start.
Furthermore, Gash is someone who never intentionally forgets about the people who have helped him in life. Once he has claimed victory as king of the Demon World, Gash sends his old partner a letter telling of his days so far now that the struggle has ended, and that he is truly thankful for their friendship.
Over all, he is ultimately what he had sought to become in the very beginning.
He is a kind king.
Abilities:
When Gash was seen alongside Kiyomaro (who wielded the spell-book, chanted the spells, and provided "heart-energy" to trigger them), he could naturally not fight without his partner. The young demon king is not limited by such a concept any longer- that is, once everything is regained.
After returning to the Demon World, the books long burnt, the powers that each demon were born, developed, or were given returned, ready to be used at will.
With that being said, Gash's powers are based on lightning. He has a variety of spells, each with surprisingly different affects and forms. Yet his most powerful spell was sealed within him as an infant: Baou Zakeruga. Originally, his father had intended for it to be a weapon that devoured hatred, but after having tasted wrath, it became poisoned and soon rampaged into an all-consuming beast. Unable to control the overwhelming power due to his old age, Gash's father bestowed it upon him, claiming that the boy's kind nature would be able to tame Baou when the time came.
Aside from that, Gash has the ability to lift massive objects, crush through rock, and even use his mantle as a flying device or defensive weapon against his enemies.

Grocery shopping, grocery shopping! [A bought of childish laughter.] I have been assigned the important task of bringing food to the house. Ununu!
Speaking of, what will be for dinner? -Ohhhhhh! Could there possibly be yellow-tail at the store? There has to be such a thing there, isn't it so? The adults at my new house have been so kind to me, I want to share it with them. It is the least that I can do.
Still, I need to get what's on this list with the money that was given to me. [The rustle of paper.] Eggs, milk, bread, cheese...
Nuuuu. There is nothing about fish on here. [The boy sounds utterly disappointed, though, not for long.]
I know what I'll do. I'm going to go ask if I can buy it, as well!
