My Partial Solution for Keeping Work Doldrums At Bay: Take in the occasional kick-ass cool gig for somebody who does something you actually care about and who appreciates the work you put in (preferably somebody who pays, or better yet, offers cool barter). Of course this only adds to the time sitting in front of a screen going cross-eyed over Pantone numbers. But it kept me sane when I couldn't stand looking at another IU logo, it kept me sane when I wanted to scream at all the oncologists in the universe, and it's keeping me sane now when the last thing I want to deal with is another idiot marketing rep with a "great" idea for car promotion. :)
