Traditional Japanese sweets. Kiku told me that they were delicious. He likes them, I think.

Yup!

I'm chinese, but I also know a lot about japanese food too.

They're actually kind of sour...

"Sweet" is not the right word for umeboshi...

Are you Japanese?

I was born and raised in the UK, but my parents are. And I was in Japan just last month.

Umeboshi? They're good in onigiri and other dishes from time to time, but they're definitely not sweet~

Still, I like umeboshi and other tsukemono in general. Though not the beni shōga. I hate that one. Ah, sorry, that's red ginger.

Well, that is what Kiku said. It has been some time since I myself have eaten one.

I am not really sure, most Japanese food doesn't have too much taste to me.

At least now you know that that isn't the case. Kiku, you said? Is that person Japanese? Maybe they were going to pull a prank on you if they said that.

As for thinking that Japanese food doesn't have much taste... well, I guess that really depends on the person, but I personally like various Japanese dishes as they have different tastes. Or, you haven't been exposed to the different varieties of all the various prefectural specialties.

Yes, he is a sibling of mine. Maybe. I will ask him about that later.

It does not. It lacks spices.
