Damn, I'm Depressing...

So thing to do is look back on the summer and write some meaningful entry about our lives changing and how close we have grown over the course of 3 months. We then tend to top it off with a song that has the word 'summer' somewhere in it to make the thing seem complete...half the time, people don't even know what the song they pick has to deal with ( Read more... )

Hm...while I agree completely with your paragraph on love (it's something that bothers me too), I disagree with almost everything else. I don't mean to sound like an asshole, and I apologize if I seem that way, but calling some entries "foolish" seems a little unfair simply based on your own experiences this summer. For some, their lives' have changed, be it a result from something big or something small. And many people have grown closer this summer. You say you can't write a meaningful entry about "costume parties and humid weather"...it's possible. The true meaning and emotion will always lie in the minds of those who experienced said things.

Sorry, Matt. But it had to be said.

I 'give a damn.' And I think you thrive on your depressing thoughts rather than really great stuff. I'm not going to go point by point, but I disagree with a lot of what you said, and I have reason to believe that deep down, you do too.
