#1) I have one know irrational fear: I am afraid of being stabbed by anything…Knives, swords, pencils, scissors. You name it, I’m afraid of someone stabbing me with it.
#2) I hate being in dark places. I don’t fear the dark…well if someone was going to stab and was hiding in the dark, I would be, but I can never sit in a room that’s poorly lit. I get really uncomfortable and turn on as many lights as possible. In fact, right now, just to add to the light of my room, I have my closet light turned on for no reason.
#3) When I was very young, I had a breathing problem that a doctor said wouldn’t go away. He then told my mother that I needed surgery to fix the problem. He wanted to cut a hole in my throat and give me a breathing tube. My mother got a second opinion and it was simply because my head was slightly heavier then normal. I grew into it and I have no breathing tube today.
#4) I’ve had my glasses since second grade and I hate contacts. I’m legally blind without my glasses.
#5) I’ve only cried during one movie. ET. The scene where the flowers wilt and we all think ET is dead. I was sick with the flu when I first saw ET and I was on some heavy antibiotics. Needless to say, I cried.
#6) I refuse to drink alcohol. For some reason I think it’s stupid to want to consume it. It smells so bad and when I was little, my dad let me sip some…I hated it. Thanks dad, I will never drink and never kill my liver.
#7) I sleep very often and when I was little I would ‘bang my head’. Or as it’s been scientifically explained as: A rhythmic movement of light up and down patterns to ease/tire one into sleep…I sometimes still find myself doing it.
#8) I cannot sleep without a comforter. I never really grew attached to a ‘blanky’ when I was little, but no matter how hot or uncomfortable I get, I always sleep with a comforter.
#9) When I get really, really mad I tend to bite my arm. Not really bite, bite…as in leave marks…but as in clamping down angrily with my teeth.
#10) This goes back to number one, but every time I get into my car by myself, I check the backseat to make sure no one or thing is back there. Sometimes, when I’m driving, I turn around and turn on my backseat light just to check.
#11) My favorite number is eleven. It has no meaning to me numerically. I only like it for the way it looks.
#12) When I was little, I used to pretend I was on a TV show and when I would say something stupid, I would pretend it was a blooper and restate everything.
#13) Van Gogh is my favorite artist along with Henri T. Lautrec. My favorite photographer is Paul Strand.
#14) Sometimes, before I go to sleep, if I’m having a hard time getting to sleep, I like to ask myself interview questions as if I’m on a talk show. I respond with detailed answers until I find myself waking up from sleep.
#15) I used to sing myself to sleep when I was little. Now, I tend to find myself reviewing test answers and speech verses so I can memorize them. I wish I could go back to the singing.
