there is a ebay function that sets it so if they use 'buy now' they have to use paypal straight away in order to win the auction.

Yes, but the silly auction software I use doesnt have that feature :(
I've forwarded all the info to Ebay, I just want my listing & final value fee's refunded ..
what a waste of time and money..!
So basically, this is a heads up to sellers, among the other two "popular" scams going around..

That sux. We have alot of canadian & USA buyers recently that have tried to fraud us, they are easy to spot now, but at first we were duped. Firstly they ask to pay with paypal when we don't accept paypal (Since it's so easy for buyers to commit fraud via paypal with international transactions). It's alot more effort on their part to fraud us via Paymate and most can't be bothered thankfully.

If your terms are buy-now = paypal make sure to turn on that ebay option so the sale isn't complete until they have paid. That's a good function for stopping NPB's.

I had trouble reading it. It's called a full stop or comma people!

Did your brain hurt reading it Karen? Mine did! To me it reads like Enrish. eg:

"i like very to be paying no way you know I have money sending from some dude" (add obligatory "Love you long time" here) Either English ain't their first language or someone didn't pass high school.

That's pretty suckaroony doll. Hope ebay shut them out.

LOL .. it came filtered but appears to have originated from the Netherlands, which sucks as I have a few wonderful customers from the netherlands :(

I'm always suspect of "strange" looking & sounding emails, but there are those who would fall for this shit ...
There's a few other scams going on, but finally ebay is aware of them ..

There are now disabled, but only the final value fee was refinded to me..
that really pisses me off !
ah well ..

Well 1st of all, I only accept Paypal for buy it now purchases ..

What they were saying was they would have someone COME TO MY HOUSE with money orders owed to the bidder, to overpay for the dress, and would expect ME to send the difference .. (yeah sure )

Its all bullshit and the bidder has been disabled .. there are currently 3 different scams going around on Ebay ( at least that they are actually aware of )

So anything that differs from the "norm" is suspect ... I'm pretty lax on GO, but when it comes to ebay & all the fee's I have to pay, I have no mercy with strangers.
Whats bad is that newbies may fall for all this crap, as they are confusing.
After I emailed back telling them what they offered was absolutely NOT acceptable by my terms, it was also deemed illegal by Ebay, I never heard a word back.
Anyway, thats that : )
