Sit stay training

I'm so excited to put Lucero in Tammy's sit stay training class! It's something I've always struggled with him, and I truly believe it's the key to all of his issues. No pressure Tammy ;) The cool thing about where I'm at with Lu, is he gets to be who he is. I'll keep finding ways to connect with him, and boy do I love that dog. If we never get ( Read more... )

I'm not expert by any means, but I have a feeling that what Roger Coor said to me years ago is very very true. If you don't have connection with your dog at the start, you aren't going to get it later in the course. Sounds simplistic. But what if that's really true? What if losing that communication from the very start tanks what could be a really "together" run?

We'll see eh??
