Dear Future Mr. Henshaw

FC was pretty damn good this year. There's a large part of me that wants to go on a lj_user="ColorSpecies" rampage and express graciousness to everyone with whom I exchanged words. The most props for me go to Brigus, who was a big part of why I enjoyed my con. Thanks dude! Otherwise, I was kinda a recluse during the con...I didn't get out much, and ( Read more... )

Yaytyyyyyyyyyy! *nuzzzles you* That is so cute and brave. I bet you are wearing panties right now too and blushing. Soooo cute! *giggles* Good luck sweetie, I wish you all the best in your new attitude adjusting phase. You know who to talk to or visit, should you need to get in touch with your inner pink-ness!

mmmf *hugs*
I should write myself something.
I have come to the realization that although I may inspire people, I want to be able to lead people. Stand up and give speeches, take charge with authority. Something for me to work on in the future.

You very rarely offer such glimpses into what happens in your head, and it always interesting to see what exactly goes on inside.

07 is the best year ever, so it's a good time to consider this.

glad you had fun, some day I'll have to get out to FC but for now I'm limited to the semi-closeness of MFF *hugs*

Lots of this sounds familiar to me sadly.... If I could add a few things I've found helpful in my own attempts at some of this.

1) Don't try to change it all at once. Move out of your comfort zone in stages and keep pushing the barriers back bit by bit. don't get down on yourself if you don't always succeed.

2) You're always learning, and you will grow if you decide to try.

3) If you lose people based on one or two strange things you like, you're probably better off losing them. I have a lot of friends with interest I don't necessarily "get" or enjoy, but I've tried to, and ended up learning a lot of things in the process, just as a few have learned a few things with my better known peculiarity (whatever could that be huh?). If someone is incapable of that, then, again, perhaps not the best friend material. Besides, it seems that whatever oddities one has, there will be a few that will be right there enjoying it, or out-doing you. :)
