So I told my mom how I want to audition for the Illinois Shakespeare Festival next month. If they hire me I'd have to quit my job in May 'cause I'd be in IL for 3 mos. She freaked about stability & insurance & the economy so I ignored her & went to bed.

omfg i feel like "stability and insurance" has held me back soooo much in life in the past 4 years. a shakespeare festival sounds amazing.

Hell I haven't had insurance for ten years now. And fuck stability. What the hell has it ever done for me? I may not get hired at the first 30 auditions I do but at least I'll be trying. And I'll do local unpaid stuff till then to build my resume!

FUCKING DO IT! its refreshing to see someone with a dream or motivation to do something. i am still stuck in a rut myself.

I'm certainly gonna try! I dunno if they'll give me a slot to audition or not but my goal tonight at work is to finish my actor resumé and figure out if I've got something n my computer that would pass as a head shot and then tomorrow I am mailing that shit!
