Every time I talk to my mom now she lectures me about my future. As if it's so bright if I remain where I am. Ugh. I am not gonna be a teacher like she wants! Why is she always such a killjoy?

I have been there and know how you feel. Telling my mom that I didn't want to be a teacher wasn't exactly met with all joy, especially since her mother and grandmother had both been teachers and all my cousins were turning out to be cousins. I jokingly reminded her that I had a cousin who was a judge. So, when I start digging through applications to go to acting school or film school, Mom just shook her head. Well, that was an improvement
