I always recommend 'The Celluloid Closet' to people seeking queer movie recs-- though it won't cover anything recent, it's an exploration of the history of queer cinema, from when any kind of queerness was relegated to subtext through to the early days of characters being allowed out of the closet, and what kind of stories were told... in itself, it serves as a rec list, but since you also enjoy meta, I figure a movie about queer movies might be something you could get into. (I'm not sure where online to find it in its entirety-- though I THINK you can rent it through youtube actually? But it's not just up there outside of a couple of clips)

Sorry not to have any meta to rec in any of your fandoms at the moment, though. I know the desire for good meta well.
