Okay, so I first read this: "...arm themselves with a cold or hot drink which will then be ignored until warm and a cat..." as "...arm themselves with a cold or hot drink which will then be ignored until warm and [transformed into] a cat..."

Which is effing hilarious.

every magazine when you aren't looking becomes a generic fantasy/sci-fi/horror mismash.

...well at least every author hopes so, so they don't have to tailor their submissions. *grin*
