Hi Amanda,
The thing is, I just don't want to teach. I never have. I know I'd be good at it, but I don't want to. I am an education major because my parents and flute teacher told me to be.

I get told all the time that I would make a great teacher. By my professors and strangers who catch me crying in the bathroom and everybody in between.

But I don't know what I'd do with a student like Lindsey

And part of me knows that teaching will always seem like a "well, you didn't make it as a professional flutist so i guess you will be a band director now." kind of position. It wouldn't bode well for my sanity, and it wouldn't be fair to the kids.

So grad school...SUNY Stonybrook, Hartt School of Music, Ohio State, Ball State, Maryland and Delaware. For my MM in flute performance.
