So here I am, over on DreamWidth. For everyone who has migrated, please say hi and let's trade access.

Also, I'm still playing with access settings. So regardless of footers or other additives, I'm still reading and commenting on LJ.

Can't wrap my head around Dreamwidth yet. It's like "everybody move all your lj stuff b/c lj is empty," but then when you get there, it's still the same people, most of whom aren't really talking much anyway, and everything's all bright-white like Facebook or Wordpress, so it feels just as impersonal and lonely as the places I'm already dissatisfied with. Meh. How are you finding actually working with it?

I made the move because Russia now controls LJ, has removed https as an option for transmission, and forced a user agreement on the community that is only legal in Russian and can be changed at any time with no notice. It's not because LJ is empty. My reading list is rather full, actually.

It's bright white and weird for me because I haven't changed the settings any further than "I prefer blue to pink."

I'm sorry you think LJ/DW are impersonal and lonely. It's pretty lively and happy for me.
