I hope it was as good for her as it was for me, I don't think i'll ever forget it, it was everything that i could have hoped for and then some

When I've met people I knew online, I've done it alone, but it's been with people I've talked to for a good age or so and I also did it in settings I've was completely comfortable with. One was back home at a local bookstore that I'd been in and out of forever and knew the owner, and the other was at the IHOP off Apache.
I don't think meeting online people is particularly dangerous, it just takes a smidge of sense. I try not to be a total paranoid nut about it all by reminding myself that the person sitting next to me on the plane is just as much of a stranger as anyone I meet online and most of us will chat with that person freely if they aren't creepy.
*grins* i like your analogy of the airplane person.
I personally have never been really scared of meeting new people that i meet on the net or what not. Like you i figure with a little common sense and thinking things through its not really as freaky as everyone makes it out to be, if you don't feel comfertable, or something SEEMS fishy...usually it is, so just chill out and wait for things to feel a little more normal*shrugs*
as long as you're not confusing your comfert zone bubble with 'not normal' feelings.
I met two of my boyfriends online. Tim and I went out for about 1.5 years.
And Rob and I have been together for 5 years now! ~_^
Also, I met a couple creepy guys from my Realm-playing days. LOL I was telling the accountant at my store about one of them today. We had arranged to meet at a restaurant (because you NEVER EVER meet anywhere but neutral ground, public places). I showed up, waited for about an hour in the bar/lounge WAITING area, before going home. I was so upset about being stood up. Then I got an ANGRY message when I got home with the guy saying that he hoped I was happy and laughing with my friends about standing him up. Turns out he was there waiting at a table.
I mean, what loser gets a table before his date is there? Anyone?
LoL! oh man, that must have been great, i'm sure that both of you were furious, laughing with you're friends? man, i would have just found another girl if i'd thought i'd been stood up and had a good time anyway*shrugs* guess some people don't think that way.
hehe, yeah, seriously you'd want to make sure that they could see you. why would you get a table unless of course it was like, just making sure you HAD a table and then going out and waitng, totally different thing...
thanks for the story, gave me a good laugh at work.
man i'm so glad that you and rob are so happy^^ i hope i can find someone like that someday.
*laughs* man...every one has such dirty minds....^________^
lol, glad you found it funny, someday i'll get rid of this nasty little disease i've got called "virginity" But not until i've found the right "cure" *chuckles*
