Ya know...i always laughed and said that he was going to die before he ever actually finished the Wheel of Time series....but i didn't actually think he would actually go and do it.

Heres to Robert Jordan...the man that captured us...lost us...and started to recapture us before he left us. Now...guess we'll all just have to make up our own

Not quite. He told the entire story to his wife, cousin, and assistant a couple weeks before he died. He also had audiotapes full of dictation and notes sent out to various people, not to mention the file cabinets full of notes he already had.

Book 12 is still being written, and at least the first 40% was written by him before he died. So it won't be quite the same, but it'll be closure, at least.

What's so interesting to me is that I've found out about so many WoT fans because of this! I sent the email around the office, announcing his death, and was sort of surprised at the number of replies.

I stopped reading after book 7, waiting until the series was finished. *sigh*

hehe...good luck on waiting for that one ^_~ i thought the same thing...to tell the truth though...i think that after 7, the series really started to drag and got boring.
