It was.. okay. I mean when you have the action being choreographed by yuen wo ping, chances are it's going to be good no matter what (even his early early films had superior action to the other kung fu movies being put out in the late 70s/early 80s).
It was by no means his best, I didn't agree with the ending, and if you take the story seriously it's pretty much absurdly stupid. But if you take it for what it is, and you don't take it seriously (since it's not a serious movie), it's decently enjoyable.
Although I will say, it does get kind of absurd sometimes, to the point where it's hard to forget.
from the trailers I was expecting something more from the film, but once I started seeing the tv spots, and I knew that it wasn't going to be anything special. Still, no one writes or does action as well as besson these days, so if he's connected to an action film, you know it's going to atleast be decent.
