I had an itch on my head. I scratched it. Moments later I notice blood on my fingernail/finger. I felt my head to see if I was injured, that's when I noticed the dead mosquito on the other side of my hand. Crisis averted.

did you wipe the mosquito on the couch?

I was in my work car, but yes, I did indeed wipe it on the nearest upholstered seat.

That car is going to be so gross by the end of the summer. There are dead mosquitoes everywhere: on seats, on the floor, the ceiling, the dash...
