I'm going to nerd out on guns again... then a real post to follow.
So, I will soon have my P7. With my P30L being a full-size and my P7 my CCW piece I think I'm done with handguns for the foreseeable time. Maybe later I'll adventure into other calibers for maybe a .22 or .45, but for now I've filled those two roles. I'm not going to be a collector so I don't see the need for multiples of guns that fill a similar role.
Thus... long guns will be next. I may have to hide future purchases from my future roommate Kim. She's a bit leary of guns, and long guns would be particularlly intimidating.
-Shotgun: I've been looking at the Mossberg 930 SPX. I'm leaning to it because it's tailor made for home defense. It has nice "ghost ring" sights that will be easy to see on weaver rails, mag extensions and 18" barrel. Autoloading also seems to appeal to me. Yes, it's nice to think a pump is going to intimidate an intruder, but if I'm going to shoot them being silent is better.
I will probably get a 26" barrel to use for clay/skeet too. Double use even if I'm buying for defense.
-Kel-Tec Sub 2000. It's butt freakin' ugly, but is interesting. It takes common handgun magazines (glock 30 rounders!) and folds to store easily. So it could use the same ammo as my handguns. It's also dirt cheap.
