Jeez.
It's been forever since I've posted like, anything. RL is not only kicking my ass, but it's leading me as a slave. I am so stressed out! Since I became a partner in my friend's little business, I've done nothing but look at fabric and a sewing machine for the last 2 months.
Haven: Love it. As long as it keeps light with the quirk.
Eureka: A little darker season; jury's still out.
Warehouse 13: Yay! They're back! Good stories so far.
White Collar: Still a guilty pleasure.
Doctor Who: W.T.F.? And... amazing. With the season finale, I realize that honest-to-God sci-fi is greatly missed. Science fiction that's about, you know, science. Not love affairs, conspiracy theories, and internal conflict. (Sorry, SGU. You were done come episode 4.)
Beware: rant.
Also, yes, I did watch for a bit, mostly to make sense out of the convoluted, contrived plot, and do-nothing characters. Never once did I feel that way about SG-1 or SGA; they had a direction. The unfolding of the greater plot, and revealing of characters was just right. SGU? Three episodes about characters no one got a chance to know or care about. In my discussions with a friend, I believe that SGU is an alternate universe. This is the only reason to explain all the OOC appearances of O'Neill and Daniel. Whatever. Now there's the SGA crossover. Why? Don't know, don't care. But they could go a long way to tie things together, and TPTB gave the perfect out: The Daedalus Variations. I know they won't use it. Yet, there it is. Alternate universe, same characters, different aliens. This is where SGU could come in. Won't happen. TPTB are not in this for fan forgiveness, are they?
/rant. Whew. Had to get that off my chest. Anyways...
Leverage: Getting a little boring, but the payoff is still good.
Being Human: I frelling love this show.
Burn Notice: Just gets better and better. I even don't mind the Michael/Fiona thing. And, hey, Coby Bell is pretty too.
Royal Pains: Who knew this show would be on my radar and stay there?
Psych: While I still enjoy the show, Shawn is a little on my nerves right now. I think it's due to a few dates with man-children lately. If you don't grow up, at least grow a pair. Seriously. Stop it.
Memphis Beat: Meh. I like Jason Lee, but not with a weird Southern accent.
Rizzoli & Isles: Born for femslash. Nice to see Sasha Alexander again, and someone give Angie Harmon a role other than 'tough female cop, with a Boston/New York/Jersey accent. More murder mysteries.
The Glades: I like it when I catch it on.
Cable finally got Retro TV, and I'm revisiting my obsession with A.J. Simon, Stringfellow Hawk, and Roy DeSoto.
Read SGA #10: Nightfall. Pretty good. (read: didn't skip over boring parts.) The voices are almost okay, and I like it when Sheppard is a little edgier than canon. But keep in mind, if you ever read the Stargate novels, they are extremely canon. Nightfall was about a planet, while protected from the Wraith, experiencing abductions. Those who return fall into sickness and eventually die. Part of the team is taken, and a rising rebellion is hampering John's efforts to rescue, like, everyone. They find out who these aliens are and why they've been taking the unsuspecting villagers. Meanwhile, an old enemy waits at the edge of the system on a recon mission for their ambitious queen.
I have some down time coming up and I should really use that to finish my Gemini fic, and finish a couple of fics that have been languishing in notebooks instead of catching up with Keira Marcos. Right? Oh look! Another Tangled Destinies episode. Damn you, Keira Marcos! Damn you and your twisted, dirty, brilliant mind.
Did I mention I've read every bit of Houston Knights fan fic I could get my greedy hands on?
Jeez.
