I'm guessing you haven't been to Washington D.C. in a long time huh? It is quite a spectacle...there are just so many different, and amazing, things to see!
I enjoyed Ford's Theatre and also FBI Building. And actually all the ones around Capitol Mall (I think that's what it's called) are all interesting, though some are just slightly more interesting than others (based on personal preference, of course).
When I went, I saw the Declaration of Independence under those crazy green glowing lights. They closed it down a few days after I saw it (in 2001) and I don't know if it's up and running again.
Glad to hear that you're starting to get settled in! When I get enough frequent flyer miles, I'll save em up for a trip out east! :P
But it may be awhile, considering how much I fly home. To be concise, I don't/can't fly home. I live near Peggy.
Hey, Renee!!! You know what? I think my grandfather used to drive one of those old Indian Ambassador cars! I know he drove some car for some important person when he was young. You're so lucky that you got to see the Smithsonian. When I went to DC on my 8th grade trip, we only had 2 hours, only 2!, to see the entire Smithsonian. As you can imagine, I saw very very very little of it. Anyways, I'm glad you're settling in and finding everything so interesting. It seems like this transition should be fairly smooth. Well, it's been nice reading your updates; please keep posting them! Much Love, Priya
are lightning bugs the same as fireflies? -Jeff (yes, I finally remembered that you have a live journal, and I can find out about your life this way! I'm such a dork!)
