I can see why you'd have a hard time with that request. I honestly don't know if I could use those pronouns for anyone. Nor do I know anyone who uses those pronouns. Maybe you could try to think of "it" as initials for something else (Interesting Third-gender-person?). Other than that I guess just keep reminding yourself that this is a personal choice and you respect people's personal choices.
