I don't like using the windower myself. It's gotten so bad that it can crash AIM, and thus defeat the entire purpose for having FF XI in a window.

As for lag in Jeuno... I honestly want to know what you guys are doing to get lag there, unless you mean character models popping up out of thin air.

Eh? Crash AIM? o.o Its been working fine for me, dont know what you're talking about, it being bad. o.O

Yeah, there's just so many people there that it takes forever to load everyone and lags you. ._.

I used to use the windower (version 2.1 onry), and then it didn't work anymore with the "kill third party stuff" update, and I used it full screen :]

I personally hate all of the stupid little plugins they added to the windower.. I want it to window FFXI and ONLY window FFXI, not do all sorts of other crap.

I heard for the Japanese client or whatever, there's something that tells you when you're close enough to talk/trade/click to a target, has a map that's always on screen, and other stuff

Oh that's FFAssist. It's an additional plugin, but it doesnt come with windower
