Fantastic Weekend!

I went to Edinburgh last Wednesday, as I was going to the Harry Potter Meetup through the hp_uk_meetup on Saturday (at Riddle's Court!). It was a fantastic meetup, and I made a lot of new friends. Hopefully that will inspire me to be a bit more active on LJ, as I want to stay in touch with them

Ha, yes wasn't it funny? When Carla told me they'd met a Swedish girl from the meet up I was like "How do these things always only happent o you?!"

I love the fact that not only were Carla and I on the same plane, but I had noticed her as being the girl "who slept, that looks uncomfortable" and she had noticed me as one of the girls who kept her awake!

Is it a good picture or a bad picture? Actually, yes, regardless. Thanks. :) Do you want my email or can you send it through here or something? I can't remember if I've tried to send a photo through the PM system, but probably not - it might be easier to get my email?

Thank you - that at least makes me feel as if I don't look like a troll! I tend to not photograph well. I actually don't really have any photos, which is very odd for me. I think I was having too much fun/others were taking photos/I was too drunk or tired or something. Also, I totally forgot my camera back at the hostel on Saturday, and didn't care enough to go back for it!

I saw that you'd posted about it at the comm, so I'd planned on emailing you because I want to share in all the photos I can from the trip. :) I'm nypon_914@yahoo.com for fandom related stuff, and schneider.marica@gmail.com for more personal stuff - you can use whichever, although I think gmail might be easiest to send photos?

It was fantastic! I hope I'll be able to join other similar events around Europe, so I don't have to wait a full year! But this was well run, a lot of fun and just the right amount of people for the venue and the games we played (plus when we met for food).

Awww. Major huggles to you both! I miss you guys too. It was so much fun. We need to do something like this again, even before the next meetup, because I don't think I can wait that long! :P

Sounds like you had an awesome time! I feel I would be shy to meet up with strangers; even though we share the same love of the fandom!

It was a great time. Do you think you'd be able to do it easier if you'd been talking to the people for a while before? I think it did help a lot not only that there weren't *that* many of us, so the groups didn't form in the same way as they otherwise naturally do, but also because I'd gotten to know at least two people in advance, and met others before the actual meetup. I think that would've helped you too?
