[It's been some time since Frederic used the journal, let alone had something to talk about in it. With everything's that happened, the composer took solitude for most of the time in the little forest area behind community building seven to sit with the flowers from his world. Yet after talking with his friend, he's begun to realize that sitting in ( Read more... )

That's very generous of you, Mr. Chopin.

I only wish to do what I can for this village, Professor Sage. I also feel Polka would have wanted me to share these flowers with others along with the floral powder.

I understand. We should have enough room at the shop to accommodate them.

Thank you for the reassurance, I may need some assistance moving the flowers because of how delicate they are.

Polka...

Um, do you still have any of those Heaven's Mirror flowers? She showed them to me once, and I'd like to plant some to remember her by.

Yes, I still have some. And...thank you for remembering her, Emil. I'm sure if she was here, she'd be happy to know how much you cared about her.

I could never forget someone as kind as she was. That's why I want to make sure that no one else forgets her either.

It seems so long ago she was here and now... [He's shaking his head even if Emil can't see.] I wonder how many people are left in this world who still remember her besides you and I.

...it's good of you to look after those flowers for her.

Most everyone I know seems to have caught a sudden case of green thumb. Perhaps I should try it, if I ever finish this blasted boat.

She was like a sister to me, I couldn't keep these flowers to myself anymore.

And you are working on a boat? [He also pauses for a moment.] Also I...wish to apologize about what I said to you some time ago along with avoiding Helios.

If the people at the flower shop are anything like they were during the experiment, and I have reason to believe that they are, they'll make certain to look after them. And see to it that they reach every single corner of the village in the bargain.

We are working on a boat, yes. Hadn't I mentioned it to you before? I'd kept telling myself to. Yes, that's what that mess of wood and rope outside the back window is supposed to be. Or will be.

[There's a slight sigh of relief from Giles' end of the connection.] Th-Thank you.

...god, that talk feels like a lifetime ago. Just one thing after another, wasn't it?

You don't have to apologize to me for being upset with Helios, although he did mention that the both of you had reached some sort of accord and I'm very glad to hear that. But as for before...

...I know I wasn't very understanding, and I know I pushed much further than was fair to you. For that, I want to apologize in my turn.

I forgive you and...about what we discussed, death has never been that easy for me. Always being told you're going to die or gossiped about how you're a walking corpse, it's...not something I want to hear anymore from anyone. [An audible sigh.] When you said you'll just go home and be dead, I...thought of myself during the time of tuberculosis inflicted me. That is why I became a little cross with you and left, because death is not a game nor should it be something you always think about.

I never got the chance to met her, but I'm sure she'd appreciate this, Frederic. At least people can still enjoy those flowers!

Polka was a very sweet girl, I'm certain she would have loved to be friends with you. But you are right, at least some people will be able to enjoy the flowers she planted here and it's a way of sharing a small piece of our world with others.

Maybe I'll meet her someday, if she ever comes back here!

['course, being in Luceti isn't all sunshine and daisies. Even Ven knows that.]

So what're the flowers like?

They're called Heaven's Mirror and are opposite of regular flowers, as they bloom at night instead of in the daytime. If you would like for me to give you one, you can see it blossom when the nighttime comes since it's still daylight out.

Dude, this place? Is so not a home.

[Yes, missing the point, but he's kind of scared he considers this place more of home than Poland because isn't his home in Poland? But he lives in France...

It's all very confusing.]

It's such a comfort to hear your voice, would it be too much to ask you to visit?
