I’ve just finished my first watch of the Good Omens miniseries. ( I have feelings, thoughts, and little to no editing so they’re all just a jumble. )

I'm apparently never getting this song out of my head. I might have preferred the Hole, or the Garbage, but ... ah well, I'll take it.

I've generally felt that I'm pretty lucky among trans and nonbinary folks, in that I haven't needed or wanted to change my (real) name, or at least not the version of it I already use with everyone I care about, and have for my entire life. Huh. A bit belatedly, I've been reading around through the recent posts people were making about fandom and monetization and "gift economies" etc etc. It's interesting, complicated stuff. ( Herein lies some unedited rambling about personal experiences, and a brief discussion of the differing commercial histories of contemporary fanart and fanfiction. )

I get my partner back two weeks from today (they've been in Europe since mid-December, so I haven't seen them since I came home from my holiday trip on New Years Eve - I haven't seen them yet this year, wah).
