Intro post

Jun 25, 2011 02:11

Taking a note from the awesome Doctor Who community, best-enemies we've decided to provide a single post for introductions.

Please use this post to introduce yourselves. Say hello, tell us a bit about yourselves, maybe rant a little about how awesome Newsflesh is, or list your favorite characters.

Go onward and be awesome.

This is an intro post in which I say that I'm Tu, and I'm an over enthusiastic Californian. My intro proper is elsewhere, but I thought I'd be responsible and start things off here.

I have a really hard time picking a favorite character, I'd probably go with George, but Shaun wins "Most grown on me more than I thought he would"

Becks is beyond epic as well.

I think I ship George/Mahir, and have from the start. In terms of weirder ships, I think I could definitely get behind Maggie/Buffy.

Will this be a squished-names pairing system? Georhir sort of has a ring to it, but I'm not sure I could take Muffy seriously.

I'm working on a bit of fanart, and a few drabbles. Hopefully they won't be too sucktastic.

Hello, I'm Chloe, I've been following the various works of Seanan McGuire for years (before the Toby Daye books got sold) and Feed is one of my all-time favourite books.

Which is odd, considering zombies frighten me on a visceral level. But no, apparently I'm okay with them in Newsflesh. I need to reread Deadline because I may have missed some stuff reading it in five hours like I did but it was REALLY good too. I don't know if I should spoiler here, but THAT part where the FACT is revealed at Dr. Abbey's was particularly fantastic and made me scream.

My favourite characters are Georgia (I roleplayed her for a while last year), Shaun, and Rick.

You RPed George? Sweet! I was poking a few RP comms to see what fallsl out, but so far no luck. I wish we'd run into each other, it could have been a blast!

Ah, yes, that bit. I'm not sure if I kept quiet, but I'm fairly sure the look on my face was priceless in a horrified, heartbroken sort of way. I could make a spoiler!discussion post if you want to talk Deadline. Though I'm not sure I have words yet.

In any case, hi! Welcome! It's awesome to meet someone else into the books.

Yeah, I was just in my tiny corner of the internet. I'm thinking of picking her (or Shaun) up again, since this book did reawaken my muse a bit.

I screamed, I cursed at the roof, I stomped around angrily, and then I had to go out and get some Coke because I was just... gah. Maybe a spoiler discussion would be good! I have lots of words, but many of them are profane.

If you do, give me a shout! We could thread c:

I'll probably make a spoiler post in the morning, it's getting to the hours over here where I can't quite trust myself not to make horrific, if amusing, typos. We can compare profane opinions and tear our hair. I think I might spontaneously combust during the wait for Blackout. Or build a time machine. One or the other.

I'm Dira Sudis, I found this comm tonight because I've just started writing a piece of fic (*koff*Shaun/George*koff*post-Feed*koff*) and wondered if there might be anywhere on LJ to post it. Then I figured I might as well send up a balloon and see if that sort of thing is not wanted around here. :)
