Wow, just...wow! This whole batch is so amazing, especially considering it's just done with the standard tools. The vibrant colors of 3, 14 and 20 are great and I love the use of negative space on 5. My favorite is 9, awesome composition. Talking about composition, 6, 16 and 26 also look really cool :D
I saw the challenge and kind of wanted to do a handful like this myself, even though I'm not part of the comm. It seems like it would really give you a nudge outside of your comfort zone, but these are all still SO GOOD! I LOVE the vibrancy in the whole post, and the way you've used the shape tool to create backgrounds & extra texture bits is just outstanding! I love your lighting, especially the drama you created on #2 & 17, the glow you gave her on 10 (...just stunning!), and then on 37! Man. Just beautiful work!
I LOVE the way you used the silhouettes in this post, too, and even your use of Times New Roman. That font is SO hard to get along with on anything design-wise, so bravo for even TRYING, let alone succeeding! ♥ The crops on 12, 15, 17, 18, 23, 27, 34/35, 37 & 38 make me happy! :D So creative! My overall favorites are 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16, 26, 33, 35, & 37.

Thank you so very, very much, lovely! ♥ It was a really interesting challenge; kind of relaxing in a way because I didn't have to go searching through lots of brushes or fonts or my really, really disorganized textures folder, you know? Definitely a nifty challenge to give a go even if you aren't part of the community (and you could always do inspired20in20 but with the extra challenge of fitting your icons to 20inspiration rules; that would be super interesting, actually!).

Oh my gosh. I totally sympathize. I'm such a font & texture freak. I've seriously been sorting through my OUTRAGEOUS downloads folder, off and on, for the last 2 or 3 months. lol. SO, yeah, I totally understand disorganization. ;) I'm too intimidated by all of you amazing makers at 20inspirations to apply, so I might just do that. Thank you for the idea! :D

Also here are the psd files for the three icons you requested. I tried to make sure all the layers were labelled so that everything made sense. There were a couple of spots where I used variations and forgot to label as I was doing it so I wasn't 100% certain which things I'd clicked; I just put my best guess in the notes. Other than that, everything should be easily identifiable! Still, let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy! <3
You're most welcome. I think if someone makes such gorgeous icons as you do, they deserve extensive comments. Besides, I like them myself, too. It's great to hear what people like or dislike about certain icons - I think it helps to improve.

That's strange. It's totally fine when I download it. It is a zip file so it needs to be extracted, and then there's a secondary folder inside of that. Give it another go, if you don't mind, and then if you still have trouble, I'll upload it somewhere else for you, yeah?
