Since this is the second incident I am aware of, I guess it's time to make a damn post about it. Just a warning this post isn't a particularly nice one.

This is just not cool, this is sooo wrong. When I saw this at a-i I was really pissed because I know how that feels. This happened to me too and it's just not okay. Someone copied/pasted an icon of mine to theirs and used it as a text texture. And that's simply wrong. I sent a private message to them and they insisted that thought it was a text texture, but at least they took it down and apologised to me. I don't have the need to call out that person because they did the right thing by recognising their mistake, but what ennasky did to you is more than wrong.
So I just wanted to let you know that you have my support and I hope that despite this incident you remain being a positive force.

Wow, people have no shame at all. I don't understand how come they see an icon and say 'okay let's use it as a base, or I'm going to blatantly cut the text and put on mine?' and theirs don't even look good, so why bother? ugh. they're the worst.

I'm glad you posted this cause I recently had an incident with deadama, about voting stuff over one of my communities, I talked with her privately and I ended up thinking it was just a mix up, but I'm seriously considering she just lied to me.

I am very sorry to hear you've had drama with this person as well. That really sucks. Hopefully you were able to sort it all out. They've made a few replies here (and apparently on their journal as well??) if you were interested in reading anything they had to say on the subject.

Fortunately, nothing like this hasn't happened to me yet (or I just have no clue that it did) but this is just plain wrong. I get that sometimes you want to try to get a nice coloring or text or lighting or whatever (almost) the same way the original maker did but simply stealing parts of icons and copying them on their own work is beyond wrong. It's shady.

And in your case, copying text is particularly stupid because you wrote more than one amazing and really helpful guide on how to work with text. God knows mine isn't perfect but I'm working on it to improve it. Those people could just do the same thing and just try to learn to create (better) text themselves - they'd be much prouder of their own work afterwards.

Anyway, I totally understand your anger and support you! But as Rebeca already said, I hope you'll remain a positive force because you are such an amazing artist and we all love having you around. ♥

Yeah, I wish everyone had that attitude. There are so many resources out there to help you learn to do your own thing, and that's way more fun than taking from someone else, honestly. Oh well.
