Love the Murrow quote. When researching the part of my novel set during the Battle of Britain, I was able to listen to some of his broadcasts. Ended up reading quite a bit about him and worked his broadcasts into the story. Alas, his breed of journalist has long since disappeared, just at the time that we need them the most. yup. know what you mean. although, for a long time, my gold standard 'good' was actually an effort at perfection. also, very contradictory my gold standard was. now i merely hope that i'm consistently improving... a cop-out, if there ever was, eh? =)
