Frequently Asked Questions

Just a list of questions that I thought I should answer regarding this community.

I would love it if people could comment to this post with any other questions they might like answered.

Q: Can I alter any of your bases?
A: That's what they're made for. Any post that says "bases" in them, is the go ahead to alter as much as you want, but you still must credit the community and the poster for their bases.

Q: Where do you get the pictures for your bases?
A: I use livejournal communities, and personal journals to find screen captures for the movies and television shows. For models I usually use model photography livejournal communities. You can find a list of those in the resources post, located in the links section of the sidebar.

Q: What do you do to enhance your bases?
A: This is a really good question. I don't do anything. I simply find the best quality pictures that I can, (if it is a screen capture, I usually go for HD), then save them in Photoshop in the Save for Web application, and set it to .jpg at Maximum. I never sharpen my bases.

Q: Why are some of your bases so dark?
A: Because the pictures are dark. I don't want to alter the bases just in case is messes around with the quality of the picture, for icon makers and such. Some tutorials ask for dark bases, and you can lighten them as much as you please, without my interference. Some tutorials also ask for light bases, and if my bases are already lightened too much, it may distort the affect.
