So what would you make of our recent contest, Innes? A victory? A loss? A draw? Did you truly defeat me in a crushing victory or did you barely surpass me in a so-so manner by the skin of your teeth? Assuming that you did win, that is ( Read more... )

If I may, Sir Ephraim, a victory or a loss is only held in the eyes of the beholder. Both of you, are impeccable with your speech. I find it rather... without methodical point for competitions.

Thank you for your kind words, Lady Elice. But please don't take our competition too seriously. It's become a sort of tradition for both myself and Innes, a relic from our childhood if you will.

As you do say. How silly, two boys squabbling as though they have never better to do.

It is childish, isn't it? But from my vantage point, our rivalry motivates each other to grow and become better than we would have been otherwise. So far, I think it has been working. My speech was probably the best work that I've accomplished yet here at the university.

People seem to have liked our speeches fairly equally. But it's a pity that this contest is so subjective. Hardly anything that I would call definitive.

I'm very good, dear brother! I've gotten to speak to Princess L'Arachel as well. It's sad that she doesn't remember anything, but... We'll be just as close as we were in Magvel.

How are you?

Things have been going smoothly for the most part. But I do miss your presence. A twin can only go without seeing his Other for so long.

You're so sweet, Ephraim. I've missed you too. I'm so sorry for not being more talkative. I've been so busy with projects that I haven't had time to do anything else.

If it'll make you feel better, not even my king has seen me for about a month now. Nor have we really spoken. He must enjoy the break from a nagging young woman.

Oh, not a problem, dearest Eirika. I assumed that you had reason to be as busy as you were. Just as long as my sister fairs well than all is well in the world. Though I think that you're far from a nagging young woman.
