I did not choose to be a prince. Nor did I choose to become ruler of my realm. In fact, there is little that I have chosen for myself. This includes my enrollment at this school. Why must I be bound by the whims of fate?

Perhaps Joshua had it right. From now on, I will choose what *I* want.

Other people have taken this philosophy to heart. Their decisions have been based on their own needs rather than the needs of others. I only have one life to live. Why must I waste it on people who do not truly appreciate my efforts?

Pursue my dream of becoming a mercenary? Become as close as I want to be with my sister?

I haven't decided yet.

But maybe I might start by spending some time with you, Ike.

You again with that passive insult. Nothing's bothering me. In fact, things are looking better than they were before.

Oh nevermind, Innes. Just keep to your affairs and I will keep to mine.
