Yes, Dean meets Ben during a S3 episode when he goes to visit an old hookup. In the episode, she tells Dean Ben's not his kid, but I sort of went into a but what if he was and wound up writing a fic about Ben running off and becoming a Winchester. In S6, Dean winds up living with Lisa (Ben's mother) and the kid, but my story doesn't really deal with anything past S3 of SPN.

Since Sam/Dean was the main pairing of my original fic (Ben Has 2 Gay Dads), the pairing had to continue, background as it is.
