Okay, amazing doesn't seem like a good enough word for this. I LOVE IT. I love the canon references and just EVERYTHING. This is wonderful. I think I'm going to re-read it immediately. <3

That's such a wonderful thing to hear: my fic being worthy of a re-read. Thank you so much! I really had fun incorporating canon things into the fantasy fairytale version of them.

Oh my, this was an absolutely wonderful read. Laugh-out-loud funny in some places (my personal favourite was the doves pooping glitter reference--masterfully done!), and gasp-inducing in others. This is such a fantastically creative retelling of the story, and I loved it from start to finish. Thank you for an amazing read :)

Thank you so much for the kind feedback! I'm happy that the dove-glitter reference was highlighted because that fun to put into the story.

I love Burt, because he is himself in any universe and the best dad ever.... and of course Kurt being Kurt, he decides that fur is not in fashion at Dalton, like, ever again. Except occasionally a foxtail because he saw Cooper's and kind of liked it.
And the aggressively self-concerned ofspring that would result from a Cooper-Sugar union is very likey to be smote by a grandmother who doesn't particularly like looking-glasses.

Thank you for the feedback! Burt is the best! I really loved writing him being all Burt even when adhering to a fairytale order of things.

Oh gosh, I don't think any reality is ready for a Cooper+Sugar baby yet.

This was outstanding, well weaved together from bits of in-cannon Blaine and Kurt and multiple fairy tales, told in a great narrator's voice. I love how kooky Cooper is, but how somehow his heart is still in wanting to do the right thing, as long as he's able to take all credit for it afterward! And the idea that Cooper's third enchantment is a mere blip in the radar compared to the eternal love story that is Blaine and Kurt's relationship is perfect! This really was an incredibly enjoyable story to read!

Thank you so much! My main goal was to write the story as a riff on the book of fairytales I owned as a kid, and to make the narrator just slightly a bit more snarky (hence the prologue in part 1) but still keeping try to that specific kind of voice. So I'm pleased that it worked for you.

Writing Cooper as the spoiled prince of every tale (and Gaston! heh) was one of my favorite parts, because it always seems like there's a character in a fairy tale who keeps getting into trouble, doesn't really learn from it, but is still likable and I thought that very fitting for Cooper.

Apologies for not commenting on this as I read each chapter. I don't know what I would comment on, though. I like to pull out favorite bits, but every paragraph, every line of dialog, every reference to a fairy tale makes me want to say, "Oh! And I love the part where you _____!" So I'd just be cutting and pasting the whole damned story. I especially love Burt's dialog in this chapter, though. With the tone of the whole piece being in the style of traditional fairy tales, the contrast of Burt's anachronistic dialog is really funny, and it conveys the solid reality of love, rather than the magic and romance of love, if that makes any sense.

for Burt Hummel was the goodly kind of fellow that ought to be in more stories as there’d be less trouble and a good deal more kindness.

This is one of the best lines in any Glee fic ever.

No apologies needed, just knowing that someone got to the end of my fic and liked it well enough to leave such thoughtful and lovely feedback is an absolute delight for me!

I'm so glad you pulled out that line since whenidance also called it out as a favorite when I sent her the rough draft and I really truly wanted it to be a special moment in the fic and one that I felt was super important. Burt is a character I flat out love so much and I thought it would so work if he didn't really speak at all in the heightened language I was using for everyone else. Because I picture Burt in that ball cap even if he's dressed in more fairytale appropriate attire. :-)

Seriously, thank you so much for these amazing words, it means a lot to me.
