History
Here in the history and plot sections. The missing arcs are as follows:

Witch in the Forest arc: Just before the series starts he's sent on a mission to Dankhelm, to look for the missing finders there and bring them back. During a fight with some Akuma in the forest surrounding the village he runs into one of the finders: Goz. More Akuma show up, and one ends up holding the finder hostage. However, Kanda surprises them by telling the Akuma to do what it wants, lowering Mugen. The Akuma pushes the finder at Kanda to knock them down and flees. They recover and continue heading to the village.

It looks deserted when they get there. They start investigating, eventually going into a general store to find an old man. They ask about the village rumors of a witch and people disappearing, but he states he hasn't seen anything different going on. They intend to leave to investigate elsewhere, but it ends up pouring outside. The old man offers them to stay there until the rain stops.

During dinner they meet the man's daughter, Sophia. She states she had not seen anything strange either, and also claimed the the rumors of a witch weren't true. She gives Goz a bag of jelly beans after dinner. Afterward they retire for the night.

Kanda wakes up in the middle of his sleep, and notice Goz is missing. He spots a trail of jelly beans and follows them, eventually ending up at a hut outside the village. He enters it, finding Goz tied up on the bed and the old man from before in the room. He accuses him of being an Akuma, but it's seen that that isn't the case. He frees Goz, who says that the old man was trying to help him.

When asked how he got here, Goz reports that he had a dream about following a steak, and when he woke up he was tied up. He go back to the general store, where Kanda confronts Sophia about the hut. Sophia says that it was inhabited by an old lady who moved there, and afterward the villagers started claiming she was a witch who ate children. After she died, they kept the story of the witch up by assigning another woman the role, sending them to live alone in the hut and giving them necessary supplies to survive.

She states after the last witch died some strange things started to happen, people getting injured. It was likely coincidence, but the villagers instead laid it on not having a witch, and appointed Sophia's sister Angela to play the witch. Angela was sickly, however, and unable to survive in the house on her own. By this point her voice changes, and Sophia starts talking as though she was Angela, describing how she died and what Sophia did after-- bring her back as an Akuma.

Kanda goes to kill her, but is delayed by Goz's protests. This allows all of the other Akuma in the village to come, who Kanda start to cut through. Goz is helpless in it, and when the Akuma target him Kanda takes a blow from an axe for him, right in the chest. He tells Goz to run and continues to fight, making his way to Angela.

However, the area distorts and he finds himself standing in his room. He looks around, focusing on the lotus flower which slowly starts to wither. He stared in horror at the scene, but Goz's voice broke through and reminded him that it was just an illusion. He slashed in front of him, hitting Angela and breaking free of her power. She's shocked he could break through his greatest desire so easily, but Kanda states she doesn't even know the meaning of it, and that she could never grant it.

Kanda makes the moves to finish her, but Goz steps in towards the end. Angela tells him to stay away, that she's a murderous witch, but Goz continued to approach, holding his hand out for her. She states she doesn't deserve his comfort, and dies just as he reaches her.

They return to headquarters with the mission over, and Kanda immediately checks on his lotus. He's relieved to find it unaffected. Goz pulls him away to the infirmary where his injuries are taken care of. While he's there, the gatekeeper mistakes Allen for an Akuma, and the series begins.

Komuvitan D through Thief G arc: Next is a humorous arc, starting out with Kanda and Lavi being turned into children physically, Lenalee speaking like a cat, and Allen growing long hair.

A ghost made up of the children who died from the experiments doesn't want them to leave, so it works to sabotage their efforts. It shuts down the electricity and infects Krory with a zombie like virus to spread around, forcing them all to stay. In an attack by a swarm of the 'zombies' the group runs, hiding out and eventually run into Komui and his latest Komurin robot. Learning he's responsible for the original virus, they force him to help find the source to create an antidote and cure everyone so that they may resume moving.

This is interrupted by the Generals, who all have been already turned by the virus. They attack, and the group is split into two. Kanda gets stuck with Allen, Lavi, scientist Johnny Gil, and Komurin. While hiding out in a store room, they hear knocks and the pleas of Krory to be let in. They hesitate due to their bad feeling about it, but open the door anyway. Krory, infected with the virus, attacks. He's fended off by Komurin and runs, however. It's then that with a bottle cap they discover him to be the source, and give chase to use him in the antidote. They go on a mad chase after him, crash into the others, and eventually all get turned into zombies themselves. Luckily, Asia Branch leader Bak Chan shows up and manages to cure everyone.

Kanda is seen again some weeks later after the move, returned to his regular age. He, Allen, and Miranda Lotto are on a mission where they retrieve Innocence from a deceased chess player. Kanda acts harsher than usual, which we find out it due to the discovery by all Exorcists that Allen has the 14th Noah in him, and will be monitored in case he is deemed a traitor to be killed.

He and Allen part ways after, only to be drawn together again for a mission to Paris with Marie. Some finders and scientists became victims of 11 year old Timothy Hearst, an orphan using his Innocence to steal, and are forced to take the blame of his persona The Mysterious Thief G. They give him chase on his newest catch, managing to stop him from stealing a priceless crown and follow him to the orphanage he lives at. They enter, get him to confess, and talk with the Director about taking him to be an Exorcist if compatible. However, they're interrupted by Akuma who plan to take Timothy and his Innocence.

They try to deal with the level four up top, but quickly prove to be losing the battle. Marie is incapacitated with his loss of hearing and blindness. However, Timothy manages to use his Innocence properly in possessing an Akuma, and gives what little help he can. Dealing with the lower levels easily, Kanda and Allen deal with the level four. Allen uses a trick of piercing himself along with the Akuma on his sword to trap it, as it only hurt 'evil things'. However, the 14th inside causes him to feel pain and scar, and Kanda is forced to help take out the Akuma and snap Allen out of it before the 14th can get any real control. They destroy it and all head back to the Order with Timothy.
