i'm turning into one of those people that hates holidays
...AND I HATE THOSE PEOPLE!

i'm in a funk. that phrase sounds funny... almost as if i'm joking
but i don't know how else to describe it.

everything is getting to me. ...i just want to be happy again. that's all.

tonight at work i heard that same five year old say the saddest words ever.
"i can't sleep because my heart is broken."
now i'm having trouble sleeping for the exact same reason...

i love love love LOVE my new job!!! i work at an emergency shelter for abused and neglected children. it can be a bit... i don't know... heavy, at times. i guess that's how you'd put it. anyway, tonight will be my fourth day of work, and i'm already getting to know these kids so well ( Read more... )
