The world is turning upside-down

So I met Xiaoli, my best buddy since Primary 4 (like, 10 years old?!) to accompany her to buy her friend's birthday present. Then we had a loooong talk on how lucky and blissful some of our friends were, that is, to be attached. We made some jokes and critical remarks here and there but hey, it all still falls back onto both of us that we're falling into the sh*thole! She was complaining how she's 18 and does not have a single boyfriend, while I am single and what... unsociable?

Pfft, so that's the reason why I can't get a boyfriend! Of all cases that happen to me, it is always cases that I have very close guy friends but we just can't cross over to attain a closer relationship!

*cough* I sound so desperate.

Still, Xiaoli's a lucky girl to have been surrounded with so many friends and admirers (HAHA) that she can have a choice (!) but they're just not her cup of tea (I stole your quote!). Me? I'm down on my luck last year. Two extremely smart guys (but being a superficial person myself) I just can't grade their looks to be above average. And both were like star-strucked when I spoke a sentence to them! Haha! But all's well, one is gone after we had an argument while the other is able to guide me in my homeworks. So sometimes I ask myself, why get a boyfriend when I have amazing guy friends who can help me out in many ways?

But... (ARGH! I HAVE SO MANY "BUTS"!!!) it would be nice to have a partner around to share your woes and joys. Sheesh, I sound like Selena Gomez in the magazine interview. Isn't she a lucky girl to have the awesomestxzxzxz boyfriend in the world - Nick Jonas.

Sidetrack: Oh goooooooooosh, isn't her style fabulous? I've unknowingly bought many pieces of clothing that are very similar to her style and to my surprise (and demise), my friend say I looked like shou nu. What the heck... this means I'm looking too old for an 18 year-old.

People say you will find your Mr Right, but when? Do you wait for it, or do you take the first move to search for it? Like, trial and error? Haha. I don't know why Asians are so conservative in having number of relationships because it all ultimately pays off to find your (not-so) perfect soulmate. I mean, people get settled down after one relationship in the older times - reference to Mom and Dad generation; two to three relationships - reference to Sisters and Brothers generation; who knows... our generation could be that an average adult (we) has more than three relationships in a lifetime to find their partner?

It's all up to you. And fate. (Pfft, like as if I believed in that anymore).

thoughts, heartfelts
