Shit, I haven't posted about my mini-vacation yet. I took Matt and Mochi to stay in a pimped out yurt for 2 nights near the border of Yosemite. The yurt was really cool, like a mini hotel room (kitchen, bathroom with shower,comfy bed) but with tent walls, out in the middle of the woods where there were no other lights at night, which made for some ( Read more... ) -

i just spent a week on a rig for work trying to get a proper fk/ik switch arm rig with (something similar to) sticky handles. what is rigging?
it was SO CLOSE to working until the animation layers broke this hacky fix I made for it. so i convinced work that i really just needed IKs for the hands, after all ive never even worked with an IK FK rig ( Read more... ) -

I feel like im getting judged every time i buy beer at my local grocery. We get some like 2-3 times a week, and all the cashiers know us pretty well. They started mentioning it. Saying things like we "dont need reasons to drink, (we) make our own" wah

last weekend, matt and i found a home skeeball table at a yardsale. i bought it because, well, awesome. we lugged it home by foot, 4 blocks away. it took my shoulders and arms 3 days to recover. we left it outside with the intention to take it apart and bring it inside.

Mochi woke us up last night around 430 making these crazy scary sounding highpitched whimpering noises. matt and i jumped out of bed, i slid on the floor, fell, and bruised my hip. we ran into the other room, mochi was sitting in her bed, storm scurried into our bedroom and under the bed. i think she freaked him out, too. our current hypothesis is ( Read more... ) -

Crimefighter, my toyota prius (first gen), is pretty much on its last limbs. The hybrid battery shat out, but its still able to run and drive for now. I just replaced the other battery in it, then they found this other, larger problem, sooo ( Read more... ) -

I went to gdc on Thursday, the badge switch off worked really well this year. Went to a few informative art talk/lectures. A friend of ours from fullsail even managed to get Matt an expo pass.
