Why, why did the island decide to plague us with turkeys and not an animal that would be, at the very least, shorter than myself? This swarm is made all the more aggravating if only because I can hardly see above them

I would think the idea of an almighty Goddess being able to talk in her sleep would not be quite so unusual.

She sleeps to keep her interference with our mortal lives to a minimum. She wishes to see what we are capable of on our own, only providing occasional...hints, if you will, which I interpret. In theory.

My age is misleading. I was quite literally born into both roles, so I have had over a decade of experience in both positions.

Forgive me, it's just somewhat unsettling to me for some reason to see one so young thrust into such a position.

While I should be used to the reaction by now, it can become quite grating to have my abilities judged by my age before anything else.

Don't let it bother you, though. Your reaction is much more tame and polite than most.
