Backdating... as usual. revengeisalie October 21 2009, 16:38:26 UTC
You know, you've got a point right there. As for myself... if you look at it as a whole, my life here is actually more peaceful than that at home, I think...

I guess what makes it bad is also the sheer strangeness. Humans fear what they don't know, and that.

A great country... well, honestly, I'm not sure. I mean, sure, I can say a great country would be one where no one was poor and everyone respected each other's lives, but that's more like an ideal country. A great country... well, for starters, maybe a country where no single party is allowed to commit atrocities that others can't defend themselves against.

Oh, I see! Sounds like a tricky situation...

Well, why not ask Shouryuu-san and Rokuta-kun for tips?

They can harm and kill immortals. Common weapons are not as effective. It's like beating us with sticks.

I already have. But I don't know if what worked in En or Ren works for Kei.

Huh! Well... makes sense, I guess. Even if someone's immortal, someone else will always find a way to kill them.

I see! Of course, countries are different... but surely, some things must at least approximately be the same, or not?

Huh. Remember that immortality isn't rare where I come from, anyone can become immortal as long they are part of the clergy or become an important soldier in the army or simply works for me or another immortal.

The weapons are only produced by the Ministry of Winter. Although illegal smuggling always happen.

Yeah. People everywhere can get hungry or suffer the weather or are afraid of youma attacks.

That common, huh? Well, that's what I meant, really. If it's so very common, no wonder someone would figure out how to build weapons that kill even immortals...

It's as simple as register your name in the Census of Immortals. It's not someone, only those of the Ministry of Winter are capable. Corrupted members of the ministries do that and then the weapons are kept hidden after the fall of that administration.

Hmmmm... I see. So immortality is actually... pretty normal over there.

... actually, now that I remember, the whole thing about the kessenchu did seem kinda.... developped. To a certain point.

Kinda? It's a privilege for the upper classes.

To a certain point, huh?

Hm! ... well, that reminds me of something uncomfortable.

Yeah. I mean, I've met a few people who were made immortal that way... and there's a way to undo it.

At home, what's a privilege for the upper classes is killing those of lower classes without repercussion.

Well, him and two others.
