This may or may not make sense to those who read this, but I definately know what you mean about hurting Jesus. In life, there are many obstacles that keep us from being close to Jesus. Among people our age these obstacles can include drugs, sex, and alcohol, and in your case, love for another person over Jesus. I often see these as "masks" that i wear that cover who I really am. I am going through at time in my life right now where I am guilty of losing sight of my relationship with Jesus. I was once asked to identify what i thought was the greatest sin that a human commit. I realized that the greatest sin is to not be the person that i was created to be. The world has one shot at my identity, and God created us from His image out of love. I am glad that you have identified your "mask", and i pray that you continue to get closer to Jesus and not lose sight of who you are. Please pray for me as i struggle. I hope this makes sense.
