To take medication or not?

With me, not taking a medication was completely not an option.
I was lucky and had a nuerologist who demanded that I take something to slow it down.
I'm glad that you are no longer ignoring the disease.

Not so much ignoring it so much as being obliged to face the fact that it was getting worse. Thanks be that the insurance makes it a tolerable expense. You have to agree that nearly eighteen years with minor symptoms was a pretty good run.
