marchism

On Monday there was a snowstorm, 'forcing' many offices and schools to close. Today's high temperature is slated to be 60 degrees and it is gorgeous outside. This weather is crazy. I'm ready for spring to warm things up.

I'm in serious need of an exercise regimen. The hundred push-ups thing was nice, but other than building endurance and some better shoulder definition it's not a great overall workout. I checked out the Body For Life book and was going to start that program, it sounds like it's up my alley. However, that all assumes that I can actually go to the gym and use the equipment I'm looking for. I tried to start-- on monday-, but when I found the gym packed full I scowled and left. I don't know what it is, but I absolutely cannot stand waiting at the gym. I hate paying for something I can't access immediately. I shake my fist in anger at the gym. So I'll try again this week, going bright and early when the place opens and hopefully I can beat the rush, I guess.

I started reading the Tad Williams Otherland series last week. It's cyber-punk-ish virtual reality science fiction, and for some reason each volume of the 4 book series is over 700 pages long. it makes for pretty decent subway reading, but I didn't really get into it until about 500 pages, which is a bad sign. hopefully now that all the groundwork has been set the following volumes will be stronger throughout.

I've been playing Fallout 3 like crazy! It's an incredible game. Everything about it is so well done. I really wish I had VATS in real life.

I need to focus!
