What? Phone line splitters are at Walmart or anywhere and are much cheaper than switches or hubs. Unless you mean something like creating two separate phone lines, which I don't think you can do with any type of plug-in device.

Unless I'm completely insane, we had a device that did this, back when we had a separate phone line for Dad's home-based business. It had little slots labeled "line 1" and "line 2" and did in fact operate as two separate lines, though it was in the same wall jack.
You paid for it with a little phone bandwidth, but phone calls don't take up all that much anyway.

Yeah, that's what I meant. A thingy so more than one person can use a phone line at once.
