It remains spider season, and I continue to traumatize them by sticking them in containers.

Today's catch: a Cat Faced Spider! It's probably the biggest spider I've ever seen outside of the time I found a Hobo spider in my room: about 1.2 cm from chelicerae to abdomen tip, and one of its legs stretched out is probably about 2 cm. It's not venomous ( Read more... )

So I found a black widow spider at my work the other day, and after a bit of epic flailing with various plastic containers managed to capture it.

I think I'll call her Vera.
