I just got an emal from my politics lecturer, saying that my marks really suggest that I should be doing honours. It was a letter to me, not the one sent to all politics people, and I know he probably sent it to lots of other people as well, and I KNOW this is pathetic, but it made me feel kinda nice. He said that since I mentioned a career in diplomacy (when exactly DID I mention it to him, though?), I should keep in mind that honours is usually a prerequisite for most international organisations, and DFAT.
You think you're over getting high off other people saying you have potential, but you're probably not and never will be.
For places to have my birthday party, I was looking at Sapphire Bar. I don't know, I've never been there but it was available on short notice. I sent of an email last week to ask about some stuff. In the mean time, I've decided not to have a party, and kinda forgot about Sapphire.
Yesterday, Rusty from Sapphire Bar rings me, wakes me up (it WAS about 3pm) and starts yammering on about how the function room is available and how he'll be sending me the application form, and then he said that this should
get the ball rolling
and
we'll touch base tomorrow morning.
Oh, Rusty...
Rolling balls and touching bases... "proactive"... "paradigm"... "Aren't these just buzzwords dumb people use to make themselves sound important?"
You've heard the expression "Let's get busy"? Well, Rusty gets biz-AY!
A totally outrageous paradigm.
