Journal: Familial Relations

Jan 21, 2006 17:10

Once again, I feel compelled to write in this most apt journal.

My family is powerful, respected and arrogant. However, we seldom have peace within the family. In particular, my brother Sirius causes a lot of tension through his independent and divergent views.

This aside, I was wondering how other families work. Does anybody have input on this

Well there are the parental units, who take care of the children. They are supposed to have the unconditional love for you. My father says my mother loves me even though she left. I don't know what to believe. Then there can be siblings, whom you naturally have some hatred for depending on whether you were born first or second. However, no matter what you always care for them.

At least, that is what I think.

Granted, but how is the dynamic in your family? Your mother is absent?

My father remarried. The woman he is married to now has a son, a few years older than I. It is pretty okay. They rarely argue. And if they do, it is over something silly. Her son and I get along nicely, I suppose.

How do you get along with your stepmother?

It's just my mother and myself, so I wouldn't really know. I guess we get on all right, when it counts.

What happened to your father, if I may ask?

My father is strong but passive. My mother is a little on the off side and my sister's a bitch very persistent individual. There's love in the family though. Holidays are usually fun.

Wow, I feel like my families huge in comparison to all these. My mother's a medical researcher and my father runs a company called Wizards Working Wonders, a political movement for the education of under privliged wizards.

As for siblings, my eldest sister Nina helps run an African visitation organization that allows poor wizards to stay with a rich family for a couple of weeks. My sister Anne, second oldest resides in Mungo's. Jade who is third born runs an orphanage in Russia. Ivy, fourth, moved to Canada and joined the Peace Corp. Andthen theres my sister Ami, but no one talks to her.

I love my family though, even though we rarely see each other.

Oh family talk!

My family is mostly very close and collective. My daddy is a big and important muggle accountant; he's really close to being the owner of his own firm! How exciting is that! My mommy is a nurse at St. Mungo's and about the sweetest lady one could ever meet. My big brother Mark wants to be in business like my daddy and is trying to work his way up the ladder on his own not that he had much of a choice, and my little brother Evan is a real cutie; he'll be starting here next year which will be exciting.

My family basically works on love and communication. We have family meetings and game nights and things like that; and we always eat dinner together- well when we are all home- which is really important. It's a really pleasent environment and there is hardly ever drama. I like it... nope... I love it!

Really? Erm, well that's how I saw... I mean see my family.

I'm sure nothing was fabricated... which part seemed too much?

[ooc: I auditioned as another character... go see! XD]
